i think miester Pool is an interesting case :

a lot more aggressive (in fact i would say over aggressive now) than he used to be late on in a tournament which may have something to do with a bad beat or too.

a couple of months ago i would have said very good early on but not aggressive enough late on but i feel a slightly better balance is needed to be a consistant winner in our games (obviously i can't say away from mlp).

other notes :

- generally plays without fear and always a dangerous customer.

- when enjoying his game, mixes it up nicely.

- can let his temprement over-ride his poker at times.

you scare me most times.  I have learned so much from your responses to others posts.  You have very solid theories that I have truly taken to heart.  This had helped my game away from MLP more than you know.

Recently tho, you have stepped away from your own game.  Common, I think, for those that see so many hands.

bad beat or 3 or 4 or 100 that is...

runs of 9-2, 8-3, J4 etc late in the game aren't all in hands for me, sure their live, but junk is junk, & I'm not putting chips into already raised pots with it, so on those bad luck days, patience for good cards doesn't get rewarded...
other notes :

have had a bad run of that since the end of March, maybe not so obvious of a reason for most, & won't go there, but those that know about it will understand, & to go with it the extra workload & no time off etc...well, that's why, & someday I'll "relax" a tad & laugh @ a bad beat or 2...but for now well, that's just how I am...

these aren't criticism's pool, just our own observations which may highlight something you haven't seen (or have ).

you certainly don't have to feel you need to justify anything at all, that's not the point of these threads.

Not sure what to make of that, I don't play more hands than I usually do, I play table position for the hands I play, depending on the blinds & pot odds etc...unless it's the hands I get busted with you mean, but usually in those hands, I have been ahead both preflop & on the flop...unless I guessed wrong on the hand my opponent had, which is something I always do, try & put my opponent on a hand...

not at all boss, but might as well respond when something looks like it needs a response, like the original post stated, we're removing some boredom, thinking about a post don't help now does it, but a reply sure keeps it alive

Didn't mean to imply that you put chips in the middle on alot of hands.  Just that when you sit down to play, you play, not just didle with a couple of hands here and there.

I think Harry summed up most of what I was going to say about you. I`ve noticed you have tended to be more aggressive in the MLP games than you were sometimes in the league. That BTW is not a critiscism, it`s a marked improvement. You`re not a player whose bets I call lightly, one of the reasons laying AQ down on Sun wasn`t that difficult in the face of your re-raise. Tight-aggressive is the primary style I would label you with.

tks Den, you fecking donk you

yeah Neil, tight aggressive I am, it pays off, but only in the better tournies...but I have taken advantage of that fact & used it to my advantage, I'm no robot @ the table...

team play, now that's tough for me, I find it hard to play as aggressive as I feel I should, especcially with my luck where a raise gets called by crackhead donk hands sometimes over there...many times I've wanted to re-raise, or push PF when the time was right, & didn't want to let down the team, if I was wrong...not worried if it was the right play but got outdrawn, but as we all know, playing premium hands only will not get you there...& there I'm not aggresive enough in team play for that reason...)

again, only replying to keep things rolling, interesting to view these opinions, & i'm leaving as many as I can on the other threads too, we're only going to improve our insight to ourselves with these kinds of thread, well done H for thinking it up...

you are aggressive at the right times when you think your opponent is week and take down a lot of pots this way. You a very tough to beat at heads up with your aggressive play.

not much i can say about our own PoolDemon, really there is only 2 words needed to say anything here; You Suck

nah.. seriously now

things that spring to mind about you are..
Solid when being reraised all in by you, the looks of your hand suddenly drops in value at once   just like neil said earlier, folding AQ against that move is not That hard to do.. lets just say there are others on here that it would be much easier to make that call against
One angry canadian    it feels as if you at times put too much energy go to negative thoughts, letting a fix idea of "this-site-is-rigged" bring you down a bit.. and when going in to a game on a site where you think it is rigged towards the worst hand, then it will make it harder for you to play and do your best. maybe not quite play out to your full potential

other than that? well.. you DO suck

Rob is a great player and person, a warm hearted giving one that will do what he can to help out. a strong disciplined tight aggressive player that wont willingly spread too many chips around in the early stages of a tourney. if he reraises you he normally has something that he wont mind getting called with.

also a great contributor on the forum, coming with valid input in the strategy threads

Often reminds me of Ena Sharples, especially when your draws don't hit.
