Team MLP and muratore win OFC #31 Freeroll

We have a good strong group defending the MLP honour in this weekends OFC! Saturdays game is the first OFC this season of the MLP Freeroll League

I will try to update this thread as we go along during the game on saturday. We also hope that you will all come in and tell us how you did, what place you got, nice suckouts, amazing hands and all other potential drama that happened at the tables

As always the chatroom will be open, and anyone that wants to join us in there are more than welcome! The chatroom can be our little sanctuary to meet up with other MLP-members, get a shoulder to cry on if someone was mean to your stack, and also a great place to get a pat on your back just after you took down a big pot!

Being in the Chat Room during an OFC makes it so much more fun to play, and gives the whole OFC experience a new dimension

Out in the 400s

Got KK twice and QQ in the first half hour but no takers even though i didnt overbet them
Was quite surprised no-one took the bait with it being a freeroll
Ended first hour with about 2k in chips then went totally card dead after break
Was left with about 4x BB when it was my turn to post BB got dealt J2
1 caller in mid-pos and SB completed
Flop came J 10 10
SB checked i pushed mid pos called SB folded
Caller showed 10 9

fortunately for us, the top 15 places were all from players in different forums.

i said to mura as he hit the final table, that we needed at least a top 3 to be in with a shot and so it turned out. i sure muratore will agree that all the support given in the chat room really helped him along the way, so as always, thanks to all those dropping in.

This is great news, I was talking to players at my table & I told them that MLP doesn't have the most players but I bet it has the most talent per head, & Murra prooved it for us

Fantastic result Murra, its so hard to win this thing playing good poker against the allin donks.

Another great finish from Team MLP today with 3 scoring and PoolDemon making the final table. Ram wasn't far behind and Mik was unlucky not to finish higher.

I'm not sure how we finished as a forum but it looks like a 3rd or 4th place probably.

Well I can't say anything that hasn't already been said. It takes some real talent for a group of our size to show as well as we did at this OFC. Just looking at the other forums in the top 5 it is more than obvious they have us outnumbered. I guess the old saying "quality over quantity" rings true at MLP. Also nice to get a little free press for the forum as well. Can't wait for the next one.

Way to go PoolDemon! Sorry I couldn't hang in there with you longer. In hindsight, it wasn't such a great idea trying to play in both the MLP buy-in and the OFC buy-in.
