What To Do?A hand from the $2k GTD deepstack tourney at bodog.
Blinds are $200/$400 and there is a $50 ante.
You have $16,215
You`re in the hijack seat and the action folds to you. You have Ah Jh and decide to limp in.
Cutoff also calls.
Button folds.
SB makes it $2020 to go.
BB folds.
You decide to make the call. The cutoff folds so you`re HU against the SB.
The pot is now $5,590
The flop comes 4h 5h 5s
The SB pushes all-in for $9,495
Do you call or fold?
Extra Info.
SB hasn`t shown down very many hands. He`s been aggressive in position but still seems to be playing pretty much TAG. Most of the pots he`s won and lost have been either preflop or before the river. He has overbet the pot a couple of times but this is the first time he`s pushed all-in.

Fold, I think. Probably and overpair and it's not worth chasing the flush. If it's QQ or KK or even AA, your J isn't any good in a race. It's an awful lot of your stack to put on a draw against someone that plays tight, aggressive.

I take it there is still some way to go to the sugar.
You're in good shape; no sense gambling.

why do i get the feeleing that he doesn't have a hand at all, a total bluff, well maybe semi-bluff with a weaker ace...

Fold
You got the chips why get involved in a hand where you're probly well behind
I think the best you can hope for here is you got 2 overs to a pp and drawing to a flush
If they are playing AK/AQ this is cutting down your outs so your not really getting the right price to call imo

Because I was a sneaky sob in this hand history
I`ve done this hand from the perspective of the other player. I wanted to see if anyone here would make the call that he did.
I was in the SB with Kc Ks and made the massive overbet to take the pot down there and then. Unfortunately for me it didn`t work. Despite the fact he was getting terrible odds Mr AJ made the call and hit the 6h on the turn. It left me 4 outs on the river but I missed and that was my game over with.
A very annoying hand. I really don`t see as there`s anything I could have done differently apart from raising more pre-flop and even then I think he would have called.
With the flush draw on the board I have to bet over the pot to give bad odds to anyone who might have it. That essentially pot committed me so I pushed.
This hand came just as we were about to take the second break. Two hours of patient, mainly smallball poker destroyed because someone chose to make a bad gamble and hit it. :q71:

you tricky person you
the problem with betting out like that to protect your hand, is if your betting into the "i'va got me a suited ace so i'm all in baby" kind of player, is you obviously can't bet them off the pot...so wadda ya do, bet more chips of course (in the next game...)
(you don't bet, your screwed, you bet all in & they call, so your screwed, it's a condom hand...)
nothing sucks worse than patient play like that blowing up in 1 hand, my only other thought, if you saw him playing hands like that prior, the best thing would have been to push pre-flop, get the fold, take in the ante's & blinds...
