The Team Alternate Mini-League (OFC/GGE) - Season #4
	This Mini League will consist of the next 8 (pro-US) OFC and GGE events. Both the Freeroll and Buy-In events will be part of this Mini League. The winner will have this award permanently in his/her sig line.

Update

I can't get hold of mura at the moment so i've updated the table above as best i can. Unfortunately, we only have results from this weekends freeroll so i guess we will have to call the buyin "void" for points unless anyone happened to screen the results.

I hope that's ok but i can't see another solution.

2 top 30 finishes in todays OFC, muratore 25th and kesza 25th

will be an interesting end to this season with the last 2 events this weekend!

hopefully i can keep the league lead and Finally win me one of those awards  

but it is really tight up there, and anyone with a good showing over the weekend can easily win it all

I have been doing terrible in the OFC lately. So it is about time for my luck to change and go deep in both games this weekend and take down this award.

Last game of the season tonight, and it is even more tight in the top for the final game   Still very much anyones game to get the a good result today and catch the league win

After a thrilling final game where muratore and swoop, the two top finishers in the league, sat on the same table throughout the game, they both end on the same points over the season  

Looking for tiebreakers we see that they both have 1 top 30 finish, and no final tables, so finally we have to look for Average finishing position to find the winner..

Mura is reviewing the math on the Average Finishing Positon.  Since he didn't participate in Event #3, the first freeroll at UB, his last place finish by default (about 2,000) wasn't included in the average.  It may be that after that adjustment is made it may be that I am actually the winner!

Swoop, ties always suck, but well played  

As some sort of tie breaker has to be used, & if it comes down to a scoring average, you can't include games not played, that is universal in scoring an average, as the longer a "season" runs, the more uneven the "games" actually played becomes, but the average is correct this way.

Dear Team Alternate.

As you may already know this last season had its problems as one of the games was not fully scored due to problems in the lobby (#3 UB freeroll) and everyone didnt get their correct score. I was registered for it but was scored a DNS, usually that doesnt really matter in the outcome of our league, but this time it caused some uncertainties in the final league scoring. As UB has less players than FTP, both in freerolls and buyins my sitout result would not have affected my Average finishing position enough to change the outcome of the league. (the sitouts for the last freeroll there all had positions lower than 1k).

However, as this is a team league and the average is less of an accurate meassure than it would be in a league consisting only of our own games. I, as well as the other backstagers feel the need to have one exclusive winner is not as big as it would be in the other leagues and therefor a result of a shared win and league title in this one could be justified.

This decision is something that we agreed on backstage after having a discussion about this situation, both that the information on how to calculate the average could be misinterpreted and also how the fairness of the average in the way we have done it up til now.

This leads us to believe that season #4 should end as a joint league title win with both swoop and myself recieving the the winners award.
The average as a tiebreaker will also go away for the coming seasons of the Team APF mini league.

Hopefully everyone in Team APF can agree with this decision and that you feel that this is the best way to handle this situation.
