if they already raised & re-raised the pot, & it's pot limit, you aren't getting them off their hand, IMO, with a re-raise preflop, especially early in a tourny.
So the question really becomes, what are the blinds at...what are the chip stack sizes involved etc...

one of the top ten starting hands? Everyone at the table could have one of those. Raise and reraise - at best I call, if it's early and blinds are low.

ok I mean preflop and in a cash game settting not tourney... and let say its a .25 and .50 cent game... and everyone has about 15 to 20 dollars because its just seems like in cash games raises with anything in ohmha in a pot limit cash games doesnt seem to do that good.

why do we raise/re-raise ?
one answer, to drive weaker hands out of the pot, will you accomplish that in a cash game with 20 bucks on hand & a .50BB on O8 or reg Omaha, I think not.
Another, you want the pot as big as possible when you win it, but, no matter how good your starting hand is, you need a friendly flop, & the more in the pot, the less chance you have of it holding up...
just my $0.02 cents worth

I`m probably smooth-calling. I want to see a flop before I commit a ton of chips at omaha. Monster hands often turn into worthless rags once the flop is revealed. Ac Kc As Qs is a monster starting hand but it`s junk on an all red flop unless you hit a set or better.
I suppose it depends how much gamble you have in you, and how much of a read you have on your opponents.

I go a lot with what DM said, though I'm not keen on calling a re-raise with just any of the top ten hands in straight Omaha.
It's better to be the raiser than the caller in many situations.
On a hi/lo table look out for low hand only players, it can be a pain when you're quartered holding the only genuine hand.
