Call Or Fold?Blinds are $250/$500 and there is a $25 ante
You`re in the BB with Qc Jd and have $10,864
The action folds round to the SB who calls (Their starting stack is $7,975)
The flop is 10c 8c 6h
SB checks and you check behind
Turn is Ac
The SB bets $1,000
The pot is now $2,200
Call or fold?
Additional info - SB seems quite tight and has often not completed the SB. They`re not just calling with any 2, they definitely have a range.

would have to think Kc is in his hand, if he's tight like that, of course many other possibilities too, but that's my gut feeling here...

for 2bb, I probably call. Double belly buster (which means nothing if sb has already hit flush) but the Qc flush draw is also inviting.

Given the options i'm folding here
You could already be drawing dead and what are your plans even if you hit the river
Just a thought here DM but was it you in the SB

lol no I`m not pulling a fast one this time. But good to see I`m keeping you on your toes
And a little extra info on the odds (calculated after the hand was over)
If SB has an ace it`s around 63/37% that I`ll win.
If SB already has a flush it`s about 88/12%
If SB has a straight it`s about 68/32%

If SB is a tight player and ready one flush width cK, could cut calmly then POT. My opinion his cards (A7 or A9 or flush draw width cK maybe low flush)
So enough would be good for us (c)hsd9 and chsdK. POT odds not so big, but I would call this in order to see the river.

i'd probably fold here i think depending on the tournament situation.
how many players left at this point and are you on a full table ?

I can`t remember how many players were left. I`d guess at about 24-26. The table is 8 handed in this hand. It`s a hand from the Reefer affiliate game so a final table is needed to cash.
Your first statement reflects why I ended up folding this hand. Although the pot odds may dictate a call in a cash game I was looking long-term rather than short-term. Although I have over 20xbb atm when the blinds go up I`ll be pretty short. However I have a top 10 stack and that won`t change because everyone else will also get very short.
As I`m very confident of my short-stack play I felt I could find better opportunities where I was in control of the situation. For me this is a choice of chip preservation over chip accumulation. I`m not sure there is a "correct" play here. A call certainly isn`t horrible but I decided against it. This one will remain theoretical because the other player didn`t show their hand.

I think many that have posted what FI has in this hand has way to high expentaions (bad spelled!). Even if it is a tight player FI more often only have a pair or just a draw in his hand.
We only has a draw in this hand and if we wanted to do something with this hand i would have bet on the flop with our 2 overcards + gutshot. If it is a tight player you get the pot often on flop, if not you have some outs to hit.
But as this situation i would probably fold and just save my chips to a pot where you have controll of the pot..
