- Top 3rd receive 3pts
- Middle 3rd receive 1pt
- Bottom 3rd receive 0pt
- Odd numbers are rounded to the nearest 3rd
example 1; if there are 12 players
1-4 get 3 pt | 5-8 get 1pt | 9-12 get 0pts
example 2; if there are 14 players
1-5 get 3 pts | 6-10 get 1pt | 11-14 get 0pts
example 2; if there are 16 players
1-5 get 3 pts | 6-10 get 1pt | 11-16 get 0pts
Should 2 players end on the same points, the player with the most wins from the 4 games will be placed higher in the table, if still tied we will look at most 2nd places, then 3rd places etc.
If we have players that haven't posted their screen names, then they will be discounted and players below moved up the list.
Scoring will be divided by the total of players that we know.
Important Note :
If you wish to recieve points in the PL Holdem League and don't see your screen name in the Power Poker Screen Name List, then please post your information in that thread prior to the game. This league is open to all Registered Members of The Alternate Poker Forum.

League Update
So we had 2 players that have not posted their screen names which bumps a few up the finishing list. This means we had 12 eligible for points, so an easy split.
Arjonius has the lead on goal difference (or for finishing first  ) although i'm sure this will be close right up until the last game.

I managed to get the results today for Tuesdays game and after updating, we find jolub just ahead on a +1 goal difference from myself with a whole host of 3 pointers lying in wait behind.

League Update
Crazylady takes a one point lead going into the last game and now just needs a top 3rd finish to win the award. If she slips up, there are many players that could still top the table and it could go down to goal difference. Crazy has a 2nd place finish (backed up with a 4th), so that's the target to beat. Players that already have a win would go ahead if the top scores are tied.
...still all to play for !

if it was a freeroll i would agree but as it's a buyin i think "if you pay your money, you take your choice". for eks. if a player were to sit-out toward the end of a live or online buyin tournament, he would still cash if he made the placings.
most players that pay for a game are going to have a very good reason for missing it and the likelyhood of them scoring more than a point is pretty remote.
i also don't think it's right to change the system in the middle of the league but i'll review it again afterwords as always.

Congratulations to crazylady on winning the Alternate Poker World Cup. It was just as well she managed to get the 3 points she needed in the 4th and last game, as any slip up would have let jamesdabear pip her with his final 1st place finish.
