DM vs K-N

We`ve just finished playing the extra $20 freeroll we had from the OIFC after AP cocked up the payments on the first one. Once we were down to 3 myself and K-N had quite a funny little battle going on with each other. Here are a few hands that go back to the hand I posted the other day about reading weakness and taking pots.

Nice flop for me but I don`t want to lead out. I figure KN will probably bet and I want to keep the pot relatively small. If he bets a lot I can let it go.

4d is not the card I was hoping to see but as KN didn`t bet the turn and I think it`s unlikely he has a 4 I fire out for about half the pot.

Loking again at this hand that should have been an easy call for me. However I had wondered if KN had a 3 in his hand and there were 2 possible straights out there. So I folded and KN revealed the bad news.

I didn`t think it likely KN had limped with an ace so there was a good possibility my K was good.

Even with the re-raise I still think there`s the possibility KN doesn`t have the ace. Even if he does I might hit another out or be able to find a situation where I can take the pot So I call.

OK he checked the turn and the river hasn`t changed anything. I don`t want to check even though there`s a possibilty my kings are good. I don`t want to overbet in case I`m being trapped and I want my bet to look like a value bet.

It almost worked too. KN did call but only after making a comment something along the lines of "go on then". Unfortunatley for me his crying call was with the best hand.

A-J off suit is one of my least fav hands. If you hit either you still never know where the hell you are. I had been raising most hands 1,2 or 3 times pre-flop randomly as I had plenty of chips to spare and didn't want to set a trend.

I've had a good day at the tables and so in a $20 FR was playing happy. I carried on that way until I crashed out in third.

I don't make a habit of bluffing on the river with Queen high,  so please don't call me in future games.   ...or should that read please do call   I don't know; I rubbish at the double bluff.

I got a baby ace, if I hit both I could be in the pound seat. If I hit the ace he may not put me on it.
