Welcome to the MLP Buy-In League : Season 3
- 1st place, a $20 MTT buy-in and the MLP Buy-In League trophy goes to harry_lime. 
- 2nd to 5th place and $20 MTT buy-ins go to Brian Wills, addam00, muratore & swoop.
1st place will receive the MLP Buy-In League Trophy and the top 5 players will each receive a $20 tournament entry (most likely the same MTT event at a given site) to be arranged at the completion of the league.
The top 5 finishers from combined seasons 3 & 4 will also get a guaranteed place in the MLP Top 20 All Leagues Bonanza #4 which will be held in December 2007.
This will be a series of 12 events held over a 3 month period. Each game will be a $2.20 buy-in with $40 added to the prize pool. League table points will be awarded based upon your finishing position at qualifying tournaments - Next Event : Buy-In League Season 4 (click here for details).

01=15 pts
02=12 pts
03=10 pts
04=8 pts
05=6 pts

Extra Rules and Information :
- The league table is updated after each game by our super swede muratore. If you have any queries about the scoring he'll be happy to answer any pm's.
- The league will run from the start of July until the end of September and runs for 12 league games.
- All Carbon Poker games will be playable through Poker.com. However, the Poker Nordica games will only available on through their own software.
- new : To be eligible for points, you must have your screen name for the given poker rooms in your player profile or by posting your screen name in the tournament thread as before.
- All MLP members are welcome to join and play these games at any point throughout the 12 game season.
- If a player not eligible for points finishes in the top 10 of a given game, all players behind his finishing position will move up one position.
- new : In the event of a tie, the player with the most top 3 finishes over the 12 games will be placed higher, if they are still tied it will go to most final tables and finally most wins. Should we still have a tie for the trophy, this will be decided by a 3 game heads up match to be organised by the players involved.
- The tournament entries for the top 5 league finishers will be organized between the player and Brian (eg. player to player transfer).
- Forthcoming game details may be subject to change.
Buy-In Table abbreviations :
Pos = Position
Points = Total Points
#1 = Points achieved in Game 1 (#2 = Game 2, etc)
TBC = To be confirmed
Medals and Trophies available :
- the Buy-In League Overall Winners Trophy
 - for an individual Buy-In League Tournament win

What's New :
Hi All
I'm still confirming dates for next seasons Buy-In League but here's a heads up on what's new. As noted on the Freeroll League thread, i have tried to incorperate one or two of the ideas that have arisen during last season without making any major structural changes to the league.
- registering for the league will be easier. as long as you have your screen name posted in your profile, you will always recieve points from any game at that given site. i'd still like to see members post in the tournament thread if only to make muratore's life a tad easier (scores, etc), but it won't be necessary or a problem now if you forget.
- after last seasons dead heat finish, i've expanded the possibilities in the event of a tie.
- the extra Buy-In League prize pool will be expanded over 5 players who will be entered into one $10 buy-in MTT at a given site. The idea of this is to reward the consistant players in the league and provide an oppertunity to win some real money for our members. Ater all, we're here to play !  Should we have the possibility, we may up the amounts if we have the funds.
- the next Freeroll Bonanza will be in December, so qualification will be taken over the next 2 Buy-In leagues with scores accumulating. Check on the bonanza thread for more on this.
As always, please read carefully through all the information and rules before posting any questions and apart from that ..........let's have some fun !

For all the lazy people that didn't read all of this the biggest change is that you don't have to pre reg for the buy-in league any more, as long as have your screen name in your profile then you're good to go!
Great job as usual Harry! I'm really lookin forward to the new league!

Update :
Due to the generous donations of our members from last nights Mass Attack game, we're putting half of that straight back into the Buy-In League prize pool and bumping the top 5 winners prizes to a $20 tournament buy-in each.
That's what i call player power !!!

Question....If I play at Carbon but not at Nordica I realize I wouldnt be eligible for trophy.........But would it screw up the league standings wise or otherwise?....same skin sites should be hooked up like ap/vegas etc....when i get rolling I may go to nordica but if I dont does it affect a

That's fine Mister, it won't screw up anything. Yeah Nordica and Carbon aren't connected in the same way AP/VP are. But something you could try that I think has worked for others is to transfer money from your carbon account to your nordica account.

you can play any and as many games as you want and as long as you check the requirements to score points (see above), you will always be eligible.
if you can win the league with only playing half the games then more power to you !

this is in fact, not possible. although they use the same network, they are different companies (unlike carbon and poker.com) and transfers will not work between the two sites.
it could be that this changes in the future but this is the status as it stands right now.

i only regged to help get the numbers up as i new i couldnt play it..... but at least i thought for coming 7th i would get on the leader board at least with a couple of points  |

i was gonna pm you about this but been busy
league rules say that to score points in the buy in league and horse league you have to either have your screen name in your profile, or post it in the tournament thread.
you dont have it in your profile or posted your screen name, there for not eligible for points.
update your profile and you will get points for all the coming events.

ok, i've had a think about this and i am going to relent a little. i see from the tournament thread that you did post but just forgot to put in you screen name.
so i am going to award you 2 points on that basis (half of what you would have got). i hope you and the other members will consider this a fair decision.
this won't affect the other scores - they will stay as they stand.
to all members :
please remember that the rules are here to protect our active members so we really must try to stick to them if at all possible. please read through all the rules (it only takes 5 minutes) and update your profiles - that way we will never have these problems !

Harry just so u know in case u haven't seen it, this game is down as league game 2 on carbon, and also the other league game is down as league game 2, i take it that 1 of them is the rescheduled league game 1, and the other is league game 3.

yep i saw that but i didn't dare ask them to change it again as the times are correct. hopefully no-one will be confused !

Well i think this decision just goes to show that MLP is by far the fairest and most appreciative forum out there, for its members.
Lets face it mostly if for some reason u end up sitting out u don't make the points anyway, i new this when i did a simalar thing for the bugsy league last season, personally if i don't win um i don't wont want um.

i acctually have to semi brag a bit...
i know i wouldnt be able to play much of the last events..
so from the last 6 i could only play 2 and still i somehow manage to stay in the top 5..
yay meee 
i am sorry about you bubbling the points tonight Judith, i really thought you would make it in to top 5 in the league after your strong play lately!
better luck in the other leagues or the next buy in league, you know you can do it bebbe

that's really good going mura. well done to you and swoop on moving into the top 5 at just the right time.
commiseration also to those just outside the top 5 especially to the 2 that started the game in 4th and 5th. i took out HOUSECATS relatively early (sorry about that mate) and sat next to vegasjj as she desparately tried to hang on until the final table.
fortunately for me, brian went out early, which gave me a relaxed final game. i should point out though that his final score would have won last seasons Buy-In League by a mile, so all in all a great effort on his part.
final mention goes to addam00. if you look at his seasons scores, you can see just how consistant he was over the 12 games for a thoroughly deserved 3rd place overall.

I like to say congrats to all in the top 5 this season and a special WTG for Harry on his amazing trophy list .
I feel a bit sad myself I couldn't play much lately - too much confuzzling with the changes of carbon and also some personal things to fix.
Now it's time to get into buy in league again me finks  - I hope I'm welcome
